This is a beginner course and is ideal for those hoping to obtain a six sigma certification (mostly for those hoping to obtain a white, yellow, or possibly even green belt). If you want a friendly, non-intimidating, and direct teaching style that lets you ease into six sigma methodology, statistics for six sigma, while learning how to use Minitab, this course will be perfect for you. The focus of the course is on the statistics that are required for these certifications, a direct/understandable introduction to six sigma methodology (ie measurement system analysis, statistical process control, and process capability), and finally to get you acquainted with Minitab.

Outcome

  1. Understand and utilize descriptive statistics, confidence intervals, normality tests, and power analysis.
  2. Be able to choose the proper statistical test.
  3. Perform statistical tests such as T-Tests and Anova's Using Minitab.
  4. Analyze the fundamentals of the statistical output produced by Minitab.
  5. Create Gage R&R Worksheets using Minitab.
  6. Select and interpret control charts (ie Xbar-R) utilizing Minitab
  7. Run a Gage R&R Study (Crossed/Nested) with Minitab
  8. Perform a capability analysis and compare multiple processes in terms of capability
  9. Learn about normal, non-normal distributions, and transformations
  10. Identify clusterings, mixtures, trends, or oscillations in our data with Run Charts
