Before we begin modeling and prototyping our designs, we’ll review several foundational concepts that will help us anticipate necessary modifications to our designs, during the engineering and manufacturing phases. By understanding how designs are both made and assembled, we can create better designs from the start. In under two hours, this course explores the core concepts behind Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD/CAM through a series of lectures and hands on exercises to set you on a path toward success. This course is designed for those who are new to CAD, or those who are familiar with CAD products such as Tinkercad and Solidworks, but are new to Fusion 360.Outcome
- Explain and demonstration Fusion 360 foundational concepts.
- Understand the Fusion 360 file structure for setting preferences, file import and export, and opening and closing a files.
- Navigate the Fusion 360 user interface and its components, including the Application Bar, Toolbar, ViewCube, and Timeline.
- Use Fusion 360's parametric modeling and direct editing tools to review bodies and components and modify designs.
- Understand the key components of Fusion 360's collaboration tools, including Live Review and project management.
- Take part in challenge assignments to put the skills you learned into practice.
