The purpose of this training course to share knowledge on Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence & Data Warehouse concepts. In this video tutorial three components of Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI) are discussed which are SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) . The fundamental concepts of Data warehouse are discussed such as Facts , Dimensions , why do we need data warehouse and why data warehouse should be Denormalized ? It is explained that what is the role of MSBI technologies and why do we need them . The purpose of SSIS technology to perform ETL operations , which means extracting the data from many different sources , transforming the data and load it into data warehouse. The purpose of SSAS to store preaggregated data to speed up the performance of the report generations . The purpose of SSRS is to process the reports and deliver it to the subscriber using email.

Outcome

1. Student will learn about the purpose of multiple technologies such as SSIS , SSAS , SSRS , MSBI and Data Warehouse concepts such as Facts, Dimensions , what is the need of Data Warehouse and why Data Warehouse should be Denormalized
